Joseph House of Cleveland

Joseph House offers affordable housing and a welcoming community for refugees resettling in Cleveland. Their Clothing Bank Ministry serves incoming refugees and local neighbors in the Greater Cleveland area. As a non-profit, Joseph House collaborates with Catholic Charities Migration & Refugee Services to provide housing in five renovated apartments, while also supporting refugees referred by US Together and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI). 


Since its inception, Joseph House has housed 132 refugees and continues to offer much-needed support to newcomers and local residents in need.

On January 21, 2014, a Facebook post called on Cleveland's Ukrainian community to meet and discuss the alarming events at the Euromaidan Revolution in Kyiv. In response, the community collected funds to provide food, warm clothing, and medical supplies directly to Kyiv.


As the revolution continued, the community regularly gathered to raise funds and organize demonstrations and fundraisers in support of the movement. In March 2015, the Cleveland Maidan Association became a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, enabling them to expand their charitable efforts and continue their vital work supporting Ukraine.
